He was predeceased by: his wife Simona Martinez Valenzuela; and his daughter Catalina Valenzuela Giocamea. He is survived by: his children, Frances Valenzuela, Alicia Valenzuela, Teresa Tapia, Faustino Valenzuela Jr. and Carmen Valenzuela-Osuna. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
