He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Tau and Rita Tau; his siblings, Ruth Williams, Pauline Donnell, Elsie Batchelor, James, Paul, Everett and Elmer; and his great grandchild Elijah Marks.

He is survived by: his wife Marge (Marge); his sons, Mark (Anne Marie), Fred (Marcella) and Phil (Julie); and his brother John. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren.
