He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rutley and Fairy Rutley; his siblings, George, Jack, Janet and Helen; his son Mitchell; and his son-in-law Bob.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Bateman of Innisfail, Alberta.; his children, James (Carolyn), Brenda Wagner, Kirk (Tina) and Kim Dunning (Jim); his sister Mary; his grandchildren, Lucas Wagner, Larissa Dove, Tyler Dunning (Cara-Leigh), Nick (Nicole), Jordan Dunning, Trisha and Logan (Trina); and his great grandchildren, Ansley and Maise Rutley.
