He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Tocci; his children, Sandra Schulte of Marshall, James Mains (Pamela) of Inkster, Deborah Ricker of Colorado Springs and Karen Procopio (Joseph) of Mesa, Arizona; his grandchildren, Jennifer Chiaramonti, Heather Burson, Jason Ricker (Melissa), Michael Mains, Joseph Procopio (Caitlyn), Crista Procopio (Kalu), Brianna Ortega (Raymond) and Anthony Procopio; his great grandchildren, Stewart Ricker, Kaelia Ricker, Rhysand Ortega and Joseph Benjamin Procopio; and his siblings, Stanley Mains (Linda) of Battle Creek, Rollin Mains (Grace) of Battle Creek, David Mains (Mary) of Florida and Virginia Duflo (Richard) of Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Dominican Sisters of Grand Rapids.
