He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Lasar Brown; his parents, Dessie Vangilder Brown (Vangilder) and Ross Brown; his brothers, Harry Brown and Joe Brown; and his stepdaughter-in-law Gloria Cook.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Mary Kate Brown and Betty Feltz; his sibling's children, Sara Gerlach, Dorothea "Doe" Bedford, Mickey, Doug Brown and James Michael Brown; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Frank "Putzie" Cook, Ruth "Dolly" Johnson (Curtis), Bob AutumnCook (Julie), Pete Cook (Danae) and Ric Cook; his close friends, Christina Ovando and Natascha Karadsheh (family: Renate, Mike Callahan); his pets, Tommy, Churchill, Winston, Hansie and Mitzie; and also, Glenn Johnson (Tami), Amy Dorr (Don), Emmett Johnson (Sarah), Evan Johnson, Christina Crocker (Mike), April Cross (Jeff), Shawn Cook (Vickie), Cori Edwards, Danae Ginean Dotolo (Kathleen), Josh Dotolo, Julie Franklin (Jason) and Bryan Cook.
