He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Irving Kjelgaard and Ethel Sarah; his close friend Marguerite; his sisters, Joyce (Edson) and Carol (Miller); his grandson Sabu Stroman; and his close friends, Ed Holden, Bob and John Hamill.
He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Every (Maggie); his children, Robert, Martha Henriksen (David), John, Jr. (Marian) of Malad, ID, Christine Drawdy (David) of Wesley Chapel, FL, Karen Kjelgaard (Bill Buswell) of Deary, ID, Nancyrae Kjelgaard (Ravi Shah) of Phoenix, AZ and Jimm (Michelle) of Bountiful, UT.; and his grandchildren, Melissa Kjelgaard, Renato Claros, Brooks Stroman, Samantha Poulin, Dexter Stroman, Kenneth Henriksen, Lisa Campfield, Brie Kjelgaard, Hannah Drawdy, Brad Drawdy, Kaitlyn Bergeron, Benjamin Carver, Elizabeth Hunter, Trevor Vandeburg, John David Kjelgaard, Rachel Kjelgaard and Jimm Kjelgaard, Jr.. He is also survived by 37 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family humbly asks that you make a donation to your local Hospice care provider in his name, or perform an act of service for someone in need.
