He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis F Grubl and Edna V Grubl (Barnes); and his brother Leo. He is survived by: his wife Diane; his brother Eddie; his sister-in-law Iva; his nieces and nephews, Georgi Ann Cobb (Delbert), Liz Grubl, Chris (Vera) and Barney; his stepchildren, Lanette (Jeffry Olson) and Lonnie Yancsurak (Shannan); his grandchildren, Avery (Andrew), Jack, Bodie, Beckett and Evie; his great grandchild Miles; his great-niece Ashley (Brett Price); and his great-nephews, Clint (Donelle), Adam (Karly) and Lucas (Kymber).
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Martin's Catholic Chapel (1521 Sherman St, Sturgis, SD 57785). A burial will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Aloysius Cemetery.
Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lyle's memory to St. Martin's Chapel.
