He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Daniel Merritt (Danny). He is survived by: his wife Linda M Merritt; his children, Anna L Banez (Rick) and Michael C. Merritt (Adrianna); his siblings, Debra Vaughn, Patrick and Timothy; and his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Merritt, Nancy Sitler and Sister Mary Faith Nielsen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
