She was predeceased by: her husband Bill Koskela; her parents, Gust Hemming and Aliina Hemming; her brothers, John Hemming (Jean), Eugene Hemming (Evelyn) and Waldo Hemming (Martha); and also Ruth Hendrickson (Carl).

She is survived by: her children, Rick Koskela (Meg) and Sandy Schultz (Joe); and her stepdaughter Helen Marcis (Dave) of North Carolina. She is also survived by two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
