With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norman Gene Prange in Mesa, Arizona, who passed away on May 21, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit Prange and Jennie Prange (Wieskamp); his son Joel Prange; his granddaughter Kristi Vande Vegte; his siblings, Glen Prange (Henrietta) and Ruth Zweerink (Harold); his foster parents, Dick Meinen and Marie Meinen; his foster sister Thelma Essink; and his father-in-law Martin Docter (Everdene).
He is survived by: his son-in-law Gene; his wife Dorothy; his children, Lynnette Vagts (Lyall), Rick Prange, Shawn Smith (Randy Roberts), Kurt Prange (Lora) and LaRae Schettler (Gene); his grandchildren, Kyle Vagts, Darin Vagts (Nikki), Evan Vagts, Haley Prange, Phillip Smith, Keith Prange, Neil Schettler (Holly) and Craig Schettler (Jason Vande Vegte); his great grandchildren, Shane, Tucker, Brooklynn, Braden, Brock, Jayden Vagts, Allison, Kylie, Leah Vande Vegte, Alexis and Jonas Schettler; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Baartman (Ken) and Ardith Docter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
