We are sad to announce that on August 5, 2023, at the age of 92, Ralph E. Owens of Mesa, Arizona, born in Obert, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Owens and Pearl Owens (Howard); his wife Rose "Maxine"; his son-in-law Duane Van Gorp; his grandson Matt Uhl; and his siblings, Cecil, Alva, Hershel, Wayne, Sylvia Harrington Andela, Lavina Iverson and Geraldine Harris.
He is survived by: his children, Ralph (Michaela Owens), Deb Van Gorp of Mesa, AZ, Sheryl (Rich Uhl) and Cyndi Owens of Saint Anthony, MN; his grandchildren, Stacy Osler (Bryan), Todd Owens (Rhonda), Kari Dorrian (Ron), Amy Larson (Chad), Amy Roesler (Eric), Dr. Paige Downing (Dustin) and Dr. Grace Owens-Pochinka (Yaroslav); his sister Marie Pickens of Sloan, IA; and his sisters-in-law, Kenna Mae Owens of Sioux City, IA and Jeanne Perkins (Boyce) of Waterbury, NE. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson.
Memorial donations will be directed to the Shriners Children's Hospital and the Westwood Education Foundation.
