He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Sowers Beard and Lily Marie Chandanais (Lillian); and his son Paul Mitchell Beard. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Lenore Bolander; his children, Lisa Carmichael (David), Mark Beard (Shelly), David Beard (Amy) and Sian Bodnar (Kaine); and his grandchildren, Grace, Olivia, Richard, Luke, Ty, Jasmine and Mitchell.

Memoriams may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society charity.
