He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gable and Elizabeth Gable; his brothers, William, Barry and Francis; and his son-in-law Keith Kaminski.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Karen Gable; his children, Joel David Gable and Elana Patricia Gable Kaminski; his grandchildren, Matthew, Paige, Meredith, Trevor and Addison; and his sister Diana Bockleman. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and many adoring in-laws, nieces and nephews.
