He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund and Margarita; and his siblings, Edmund Celis Jr. and Susie Soto. He is survived by: his daughter Tracy Celis; his great grandchild Stephanie (Mario); his son Richard Celis Jr. (Tabitha); his great grandchildren, Leonard Hernandez (Opie) and Brandon Hernandez (Bethann); and his siblings, David Celis (Cindy), Frank Celis (Yolanda) and Barbara Munoz. He is also survived by his family and many friends.

Richard served as Exalted Ruler for 2 years among his many contributions to the club.
