Robert Martin Farmer Obituary

Robert Farmer, 70, of Youngstown, Arizona, entered eternal rest on April 1, 2026.

Born on January 29, 1956, in Gary, Indiana, Robert was the son of James and Mary (Gildersleeve) Farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.

He was a graduate of Sullivan High School and had a short run in professional baseball at the minor league level before enlisting in the United States Army. Following his military service, he found a lifelong career working in corrections with the Arizona Department of Corrections.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura McGhee (Joe Tennent); his son, Robert "Bobby" Farmer (Katie Farmer); and his grandchildren, Shaye Nesbitt (Alex), Hailey Wade, Jada Wade, Camryn Farmer, Landyn Farmer, and Gavyn Farmer.
