He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Deering and Marie Deering; his siblings, Fay and Ronald; and his wife Jane Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Deering, Jr. and Faylynn Deering. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many devoted nieces and nephews.
