Robert Vern Cheever Obituary

Bob Cheever passed away on October 2, 2023, in Mesa, Arizona. He was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Edith and Robert Cheever on July 7, 1934. Bob attended Cheyenne schools, the University of Texas, the University of Wyoming and Denver University. Raised in his family’s business, Cheever’s Automotive Supply, he worked in sales there, as well as in his brother’s Tucson store. He was owner of an Albuquerque store and later the Tucson store. He married Lyn (Stepp) in 1960 and together they had a son, Cory Cheever and daughters, Marci Roberts and Kami Boswell. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Christian and Kathryn Cheever, Nicole Blackwell, and Kyler, Zachary and Samuel Boswell. There are four great grandchildren:Caden and Grant Simonson, Audrey and Abbygail Blackwell.

Bob’s three brothers, Roland, Theo and KayDon preceded him in death.

Adored by his entire family, Bob and his wife recently relocated to Mesa, Arizona to be near them. Bob will be honored at a gathering at Fellowship Square in Mesa, as well as a private ceremony at East Lawn Cemetery in Tucson..
