Rodney James McDonald Obituary

Rod passed away on Friday, October 29th at 10:30am with his wife, Becky beside him. He had a personal relationship with Christ and is with his savior now. He was born in Los Angeles on August 11, 1958 and lived in several different states after he left the his service with the Navy. He moved to Mesa, AZ in 1997 and married Becky in November of 1998. He is survived by his wife, Becky McDonald of Mesa, AZ; mother, Arlene Ehrig of Sherman Oaks, CA; his sister Samia Freedman, of Henderson, NV; his brother Sami Kalla of CA; his brother Hani Kalla of CA; his daughter Danielle McDonald of Mesa, AZ; his son Kenton Vorkapich of Nampa, ID and his son Jared Vorkapich of Mesa, AZ. He has 3 grandchildren, Logan & Preston Vorkapich and Bexley McDonald. He was a carpenter by trade working first in California for companies such as Keller construction and continued in that trade for many years after he moved to Arizona. His funny stories and ways with a phrase will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
