He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Hanft and Irma Hanft (Spencer); and his brother Richard Hanft. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Hanft; his children, Steven Hanft (Jennifer) and Gabrielle Ernst (Eric); his grandchildren, Sapphire, Ivy, Gabriel and Vance; and his great grandchildren, Remy and Declan.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
