She was predeceased by: her parents, Adeline Mares and Miles Mares of Berwyn, Illinois.; and her siblings, Danny Mares and Sandy Mares. She is survived by: her husband Jerome; her children, Christopher Kupczyk (Holly Hansen) of Mesa, AZ, Tammy Szpytek (Stan Szpytek) of Mesa, AZ and Scott Kupczyk (Laura Kupczyk) of Gilbert, AZ; her grandchildren, Kim, Kelly, Brittany, Brooke, Brad, Cody, Alexis, Kyle and Emily; and her sister Betsy Snyder.
