Thomas Charles Sherer Obituary

Thomas (Tom) Charles Sherer passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026 with his family at his side.

Born March 2, 1950 to the late Elmer (Red) E. Sherer and Violet (Vi) B. Sherer, Tom was an avid adventurer in his youth and an advocate for the environment throughout his life. A man of the arts, science and compassion, Tom's unconventional life started with a degree in the Arts leading to Art exhibitions showcasing his remarkable talents as an artist to his twenty three year career as an RN, with many story worthy outdoor adventures in between.

His love of nature was surpassed only by his love of family. Tom was pre-deceased by his brothers Terry Richard Sherer and John Raymond Sherer. He is survived by his loving and devoted sister, Donna Renee (Sherer) Burn and his nieces and nephews John Sherer, Michelle (Sherer) Rose, Tom Sherer, Nicole (Burn) West, Tony Sherer, Meredith (Burn) Sugarman, Terry Sherer and Daniel Sherer as well as their spouses and children.

His legacy will continue through his family, and the telling of his many stories of adventure. All are encouraged to plant a tree, take a walk, or make a contribution, monetary or otherwise, to the betterment of God's creation in his memory.
