He was predeceased by: his parents, Garth Bates and Opal Bates; and his nephew Robert Critchfield. He is survived by: his wife Margie Bates; his children, Devin Todd Bates (Jenna) and Tara Canerday; his grandchildren, Makenna and Samuel Canerday; and his sisters, Susan Bates and Margie Street. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM.
