Tyrus Raymond Knoy Obituary

Tyrus Raymond Knoy, 86, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025.

Tyrus was born to Lloyd and Mary Knoy on August 29, 1939 in Morgan County Indiana. He graduated with a journalism degree from Indiana University.

He spent the majority of his career at the Bay City Times where he was applauded for his investigative work. He was also a published author. After living in Ann Arbor MI for awhile he settled in Fountain Hills AZ.

Tyrus is survived by his three brothers Kirby, Mel and Sam (wife Tina), Children Sara Herman (husband Mike) and Thomas (wife Pandora), Grand children Samantha, Mikhail, Jessica, Katelyn, Jacob, Dallas, Mathew and Olivia. He will also be missed by many great grand children, nieces and nephews and friends.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, his wife Patricia and his daughter Marian Scharnweber (husband Paul).
