She was loved and cherished by many people including: her significant other Kelly Michael Matthes, Sr.; her children, Jessica Jane Matthes, Kelly Michael Matthes (Devin), Rhyan William Matthes (Jiwon) and Kathryn Joyce Matthes; and her grandchildren, Lydian Marie Matthes and Meadow Marion Matthes.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made in Venus's honor to the National MS Society.
