Vickie Lynn Brewington Obituary

Vickie Brewington passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on March 24, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born in Mesa, Arizona, on May 18, 1949, to Victor and Dorothy Christopherson. Vickie grew up in Mesa, was a proud graduate of Westwood High School, and later took art classes at Mesa Community College.

Vickie had many talents, including art, baking, macramé, and needlepoint. She loved playing cards with family, trying her luck with the lottery, and visiting the casino to play the slot machines. She volunteered as a candy striper at Mesa Lutheran Hospital, and her love and appreciation for animals inspired her to volunteer at the Phoenix Zoo.

Her family was her greatest joy. She is survived by her husband, Larry Brewington; her children, Michelle Brewington and Julie (Ronald) Magadan; her grandchild, Breanna; and her sibling, Sharon (Steve) Bernick. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Tina Christopherson.

On April 18 at 11 a.m., family members will gather to celebrate Vickie's life, share memories, and honor the kindness and warmth she brought to the world.

In place of flowers, the family suggests honoring Vickie's legacy through a charitable donation in her name, such as dementia research and caregiver support, the National Kidney Foundation, the American Heart Association, or your local animal shelter.
