He is survived by: his parents-in-law, Gregory Gits and Margaret Gits; his siblings-in-law, Iffa Nelson and John Gits; his wife Helen Yarmoska; his children, Jodi Markert (Tim) and Dominic Yarmoska; his grandson Haakon Homstad (Alyssa); and his great grandchildren, Clea and Ollie.
