He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Summers and Mae Summers; his brother Charles; and his son Christopher. He is survived by: his wife Jane Summers of Elk Horn, IA; his daughters, Cynthia Teller (Henry) of Dolores, CO and Catherine Sidman (Les) of Harlan, IA; his daughter-in-law Penney Summers of Council Bluffs, IA; his grandchildren, Jadyn Summers and Maxwell Sidman; and his siblings, Helen "Cookie" Doonan, Mary Ann Kaven and James Summers. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be directed to the family at PO Box 2, Elk Horn Iowa 51531 where they will be split among several charities in Jerry's memory.
