He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal (Noland) and Eugene "Porter" Smith; and his sister Helen. He is survived by: his wife Rita (Carver); his children, Patrick, Carroll and Toni; his siblings, Carroll, Sue, Joyce, Candice and Ginger; and his grandchildren, Christina, Vanessa, Dustin, David, Brandon and Ashley. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
