She was predeceased by : her father Wilson Lyle Ware; her husband Rodney Steele Spencer; her siblings, Billy Ware, Roger Ware, Fred Ware, Howard Ware and Ina Mae Channell; and her daughter-in-law Cynthia Spencer.

She is survived by : her children, Rodney Steele Spencer II and Carmen Greenwell (Alan).
