Laverna Ernst Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laverna Ernst of Payson, Arizona, who passed away on October 13, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clinton Bistline and Dorothy Bistline (Winteroth); her husband Walter Ernst; her brothers, Stanley Bistline, John Bistline and Robert Bistline; her brother-in-law Willard Beetch; and her grandson Brian Ernst.

She is survived by: her sisters, Carolyn Beetch of Carlton and Lois Hines (Ron) of Claremont, California; her sisters-in-law, Gloria Bistline, Marlene Bistline and Joyce Bistline; and her children, Dennis Ernst (Connie) of Hays, Phyllis Lynch (Durward) of Payson and Richard Ernst (Judith) of Greenbelt, Maryland. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Detroit Methodist Church Scholarship Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
