He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sanders and Laverne Sanders; his wife Dixie; and his brother Stuart. He is survived by: his sister Peggy Randall of Pine; his sons, Austin (Julie) of Payson and Emmett (Tiffany) of Wilhoit; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Bonnie, Robert, Janel, Jolene, Stephanie, Kaleena, Lauren, Sheldon Jr. (Jake) and Amanda; his stepgrandchildren, Jacob Carpio, Brayden Carpio, Amber Tharp, Stephen Newbury, Christopher Newbury, Zachary Newbury and Ella Liu; his great grandchildren, Geoffrey, Emmalee, Natalee, Derek, Trevor, Jordan, Cody, Charlie Brook, Desirae, Jackson, Daniel, Desmond, Cambry and Kaleia; Landon. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Messinger Payson Funeral Home (901 S Westerly Rd, Payson, AZ 85541). A reception will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Payson Pioneer Cemetery.
