He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Schmid (Hept) of Nuremberg and John G. Schmid, Sr. of Rochester. He is survived by: his wife Luba P. Schmid (Mebert); his son Thomas Mebert; his daughter-in-law Kathy Mebert; his daughter Laura Zabawa; and his grandchildren, Thomas Mebert IV, Katherine Mebert and Theodore Zabawa.
