With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Peggy Gant in Peoria, Arizona, born in Muncie, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 15, 2025 at the age of 104. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Leroy (Harry) and Emily Carmichael Merz; her husband Gordon Gant Sr. of Wooster, OH; her son Danny A. Redkey; her siblings, Robert L. Merz (Betty), Mary Louise Dodd, Nancy Julia Renner (Jack) and Martha Sue Lanning (Harrie); her son-in-law Silas Stewart; her granddaughters, Melanie Ann Redkey and Cindy Lewellen Redkey; her great grandchildren, Drake Ryan D'Amato and Nicholas Robert Redkey; her nieces, Cathie Renner Adams and Beckie Dodd Smith (Terry Alan); and her cousins, Sarah Jewett Cook (Sally) and Jack Carmichael.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Stacey and AJ; her cousins, Dungan and Dragoo; her former husband Harry E. Redkey of Muncie; her children, Michael Redkey (Sondra) of Ellenton, FL, Suzy Williams of Cottonwood, AZ, Janey Stewart of Decatur, IL and Sally Marini of Glendale, AZ.; and her stepchildren, Gordon Jr. Gant (Christy) of Morristown, IN, Dan Gant (Kathy) of Fountain Hills, AZ and Melanie Humrichouser (Michael) of Big Prairie, OH.. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren; six nephews, one niece.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Beech Grove Cemetery (1400 W Kilgore Ave, Muncie, IN 47305).
