He is survived by: his wife Rita Phillips; his children, Deborah Nelson and Boyden Phillips (Amy); his grandchildren, Bryan Nelson, Emily Szpak (Matt), Sarah Phillips and Megan Phillips; his brother-in-law Dewitt Spurling; and his cousin DeWayne Massey. He is also survived by relatives, and friends.
