He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Williams Sr. and Ethel D Williams (Battle); his siblings, Clyde Williams, Leola Jones and Mary Ella Lewis; and his daughter Helene Roberts.
He is survived by: his former wife Corine (McGowan); his siblings, John L. Williams Jr., David Ray Williams (Suzanne) and Ethel Carroll Broussard (Jerry); and his children, Ronnie Williams, Shirley A. Golden, Alfreda Hernandez (Peter), Jeanette Y. Williams and Mark A. Williams (Alicia). He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
