She is survived by: her husband Phil Mathews; her children, Melissa Dowrick and Randy Mathews; and her siblings, Armando, Alvaro, Alonzo, Abel, Aurora, Alicia and Adriana.
Amy's family hopes her story serves as a reminder of the devastating toll Alzheimer's takes not only on those who live with it but also on the families who walk beside them.
