He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Valdez and Priscilla Valdez; and his brother Lucas "Marty" Valdez. He is survived by: his siblings, Edward Jr. and Cynthia. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews, and ten great nieces and nephews.
