She was predeceased by: her parents, Alois Lark and Alice Lark; her husband Craig Ahlstrand; her brothers, Bob and Jim; and her nephews, Monty, Christopher and Daniel.

She is survived by: her son Alexander of Tolleson, AZ; her stepdaughter Terri Lynn Emerson of Hudson, FL; and her siblings, Lawrence of The Villages, FL, Richard of Salem, SC, Peter of Lorane, OR, Kathleen Zatarga of Scottsdale, AZ, Virginia Moyer of Los Angeles and Christine Lark of Los Angeles. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces, grand nephews and nieces and great grand nephews and nieces and countless friends.

Also in lieu of flowers, Barb wished that donations be made in her name to Doctors without Borders or Smile Train (an organization for treatment of underprivileged children with cleft lip and palate).
