He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Swier and Alice Swier; and his wife Carol. He is also survived by 4 children, 14 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Greenwood Mortuary (719 N 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:30 AM. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:45 AM to 11:30 AM at the Greenwood Mortuary (2300 W Van Buren St, Phoenix, AZ 85009).
Instead of flowers, the family is requesting donations in memory of Bernard go to "Toys for God's Kids". This charity provides handmade wooden cars FREE to children - turning scrap wood into smiles.
