She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William Charlet; and her children, Ruben Doyle Duncan Jr., Carolyn Y Kaplan, Jo Ann Sheets and Steven O Duncan.

Because of the pandemic, her children were not able to visit her except through a glass barrier, but her son and Daughter, Doyle and Jo Ann, were able to visit her in her room, 3 days before her passing, and talked to her, sang to her, and made sure that she knew how much she was loved.
