He was predeceased by: his wife Frances; and his daughter Laura Thompson (Wayne). He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Canas, Irene Pennington (Alvin), Charles Jr. (Darlene) and Mike (Jayne). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren.
