He was predeceased by: his parents, Mayme Smith and Charles DeMore; his wife Mary Ann; his daughter Janet; his grandson Andrew; and his siblings, Allan and Elizabeth "Beanie" Thornton.
He is survived by: his children, Chuck, Brian, Joshua, Kathleen, Kristin, Paula and Jessica. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
