He was predeceased by: his father Nicholas Herko; and his son Justin Herko. He is survived by: his mother Waldzia Swietek Herko; his daughters, Ashley Mapes (Matthew Mapes) and Kara Bull (Mathew Bull); his grandchildren, Michael Bull, Gabriel Bull, Noah Bull and Anna Bull; his siblings, Mark Herko and Danusia Herko (Ted Frank); and his siblings' children, Mila Frank and Nicholas Frank.
