She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Clifton and Mattie Marie Knox Sanders; and her siblings, Wade, Waymon, Charlie and Barbara Rivers.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Fulton Hitt; and her children, David Hitt (Teresa), Barry Hitt (Donna), Marie White (Joe) and Rhonda Cooper (Myron). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
