He is survived by: his parents, Feliciano Molinar and Elena Tartaglia; his sister Anna; his niece Felicia; his great-niece Angie; and his nieces and nephews, Justine, Jenica, Damon and Dominic. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
After the loss of his father to cancer in 1998, Daniel began supporting the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life Cancer Walk.
