He was predeceased by: his parents, John McBride and Pauline McBride; his brother Roger McBride; and his nephew John McBride III. He is survived by: his wife Dee McBride; his children, Douglas McBride Jr. (Ann), Stacy Bill (Jeremy) and Kelly Reed (Jason); his grandchildren, Megyn, Lucas, Allyson, Spencer, Grace, Bailey and Rylee; and his siblings, John McBride and Elizabeth Doukas. He is also survived by numerous other family members and loved by many friends.
