It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Gaffney Doherty of Phoenix, Arizona, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on July 28, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Camille; his parents, Michael J. Doherty and Florence E. Gaffney Doherty; and his siblings, Margaret H. Doherty Law and Dr. Joseph M. Doherty.
He is survived by: his wife Marti Moraga-Doherty; his sister Ellen F. Hordan of Las Vegas, NV; and his nieces and nephews, Kathleen Doherty (Maureen) of Berwyn, IL, Linda Wright (Woodrow) of Cave Creek, AZ, David Doherty (Cheryl) of Scottsdale, AZ, Patricia Gervasi (William) of The Woodlands, TX, Christopher Doherty (Mingi) of Thonotosassa, FL, Dennis Doherty (Sheila) of Scottsdale, AZ, Robert Doherty (Erin) of Cave Creek, AZ and Edward Doherty (Suzanne) of Clarkston, MI. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
