Gail Zimmerman Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gail Zimmerman in Phoenix, Arizona, who passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Zimmerman and Magdalena Zimmerman (Eszlinger); his granddaughter Ashley McGann; his brother-in-law Leon Okerlund; his nephew Dustin Zimmerman; his brother Robert Zimmerman (Cheryl Zimmerman); and his sister-in-law Delores Zimmerman.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Okerlund; his children, Wendy Zimmerman (Chuck Herbst) and Christopher Zimmerman; his grandchildren, Amanda, Kaitlyn, Chase, Chandler, Taylor, Mikayla, Dillon, Callie, Katrina and Zachary; his great grandchildren, Mathilda, Logan and Sadie; his siblings-in-law, Richard Okerlund (Cathy), Timothy Okerlund (Connie) and Verna Zimmerman of Wishek, ND.; and his brother Delmar Zimmerman.

He devoted 17 years to Honeywell as a Layout Designer and Layout Manager, where he made significant contributions to the field.
