With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Vernon Headley (Phoenix, Arizona), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 11, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though George may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those George touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Headley and Christine Ruth Dilliner. He is survived by: his wife Clara Jo Atkin Headley; his brother Dennis Headley (Lori); and his nephews, Scott (Cassie), Jeff, Greg (Pam), Brian (Katlyn) and David (Brittney). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandson.
