She is survived by: her sons, Louis (Oregon), James (Dimitri) and Paul (Arizona); and her siblings, Pauline, Rita, Gerard, Michel, Maurice and Carole. She is also survived by four sons, aunt.
In 2021, Gertrude's health began to decline after contracting COVID-19 and being hospitalized for 10 days.
